About the Author
Joseph A. Mayaki is a Christian scholar, educator, and writer whose work focuses on the formation of young people at the intersection of faith, intellect, and lived experience. He holds doctoral-level training in English and writing studies, with academic formation spanning both Nigeria and the United States. Grounded in writing, rhetoric, and literature, he brings a research-informed and pedagogically rigorous approach to questions of identity, purpose, discipline, and spiritual development.

Reading through your book in chapter three, "Mentorship and Accountability: Why You Shouldn't Walk Alone", as someone who's been under your mentorship at different times, I was not approaching it as a mere reader. Every line speaks facts about who you are, really: a mentor. Overall, this book is a strong and timely one. Addressing areas where young Christians either lack guidance entirely or are experiencing unhealthy extremes is worth pondering. The book succeeds in presenting mentorship as a pathway to growth, wisdom, protection and maturity while also preserving personal dignity, responsibility and freedom.
