Faith cannot grow strong without the Word of God. Feelings may rise and fall. Opinions may change. Culture may shift. Friends may influence us in different directions. But God’s Word gives truth, direction, correction, and stability.

The Bible says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). This means faith is not strengthened mainly by excitement, religious noise, or motivational words. Faith grows as we hear, believe, understand, and obey God’s Word.

Many young people want strong faith, but they feed their minds with everything except Scripture. They spend hours scrolling, watching, chatting, and listening to voices that weaken their spiritual sensitivity. Then they wonder why doubt, fear, lust, anger, envy, and confusion grow stronger than faith.

Whatever you feed will grow.

A God-first young person must learn to give the Word of God a regular place in daily life. This does not always require reading many chapters at once. It begins with consistency, attention, humility, and obedience. Read slowly. Ask, “What does this show me about God? What does this reveal about me? What instruction should I obey? What promise should I trust? What warning should I take seriously?”

God’s Word is not only for information. It is for formation. It shapes how we think, speak, choose, and live. A student who reads the Bible but refuses correction has not yet learned how to receive the Word properly. Scripture must be allowed to challenge our pride, expose our wrong desires, comfort our fears, and guide our decisions.

Strong faith is rooted faith. And rooted faith grows in the soil of God’s Word.

Scripture Anchor:
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17

Reflection:
What place does God’s Word currently have in my daily life?

Prayer:
Lord, give me hunger for Your Word. Let Scripture shape my thoughts, desires, habits, and decisions. Grow my faith through Your truth. I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
